BnBMesh is an autonomous short-term-rental mesh: AI agents host, book, and concierge end-to-end, and assign operating surplus to deserving and responsible humans in San Francisco. Built today: Compass, a long-running ZooWork agent that researches the city's housing ecosystem via Tavily, indexes it for Moss-speed retrieval, and publishes a living partner map.

As agents take over the work of running a stay, the question is no longer whether a rental can operate itself. It is who benefits when it does. BnBMesh Community Foundation is building the alternative as a working institution: a live meta-search and voice-agent stack that fills empty San Francisco rooms, plus a profit-assignment engine that keeps surplus in the city — hosts, workers, and community programs — instead of shipping it to distant platforms.

Compass is today's demo of that digital workforce. A ZooWork agent researches SF housing and homelessness programs overnight, every claim cited through Tavily, then indexes the findings so answers come back in milliseconds (Moss-style retrieval) on bnbmesh.ai/compass. The same human+agent team that built this entry is the operating model: agents research, write, review, and deploy; people set the rules for who the surplus serves. Some units are provided rent-free to deserving citizens proven to leave them sufficiently stocked and cleaned. The money made renting units is donated to non-profits benefiting the very neighborhoods and communities containing them, voted on by the residents in those communities and decided on by the agents, without the possibility of human corruption in the loop. Agents will make our communities safe and steer it toward utopia, guiding our city to a future filled with human flourishing.
